City and County „1' New York, ss—Andrew Hun ter, of said city, being duly sworn, doth depose and say, that he was engaged m superintending the con struction of a sewer in 30th street, between the 6th and 8th avenues, and in hoisting up a large stone of nearly n ton weight, tho fall gave way and precipita ted deponent, with the stone, into the sewer, a distance of over fifteen feet, striking him on the buck and shoulder, which so severely jammed and bruised de ponent, that he was taken up insensible und thought to be killed. Dr. Tobias was immediately sent for, andapplied thp Venetian Liniment, which so revived this deponent that iu a few minutes he was able to speak ; and by the constant use of this most valuable preparation, he was sutticiently recovered to attend to his business asusual,intheshortspace of fourdays, to the astonishment of all who witnessed theaccideut.
