say, that lie was engaged m superintending the con
struction of n sewer in 30th street, between the 6th
and 8th avenues, mid in hoisting up a large stone of
nearly u ton weight, the full gave way and precipita
ted deponent, with the stone, into the sewer, a distance
of over fifteen feet, striking him on the buck und
shoulder, which so severely jammed nnd bruised de
ponent, that he was taken up insensible mid thought
to be killed. Dr. Tobius was immediately sent tor,
und applied the Venetian Liniment, which so revived
this deponent that in n few minutes he wn able to
speak ; and by the constant use of this most valuable
preparation, he was sufficiently recovered to attend
