Vtkatious, find, alter careful culture, that the variety

Conscious of the room for improvement, and assured
that the seeds-mon who should justly bo entitled to
confidence, would receive ample support, the foun
ders ot the establishment, now contacted by the
subscriber, started more than half a century ago,
with the determination to sell nothing but whut was
worthy of credit; and that they might the more cer
tainly accomplish their object, resolved to produce,
as far aa possible, the seeds which they should vend;
experience huving shown them that most imported
seeda could not be rolled on, much less those, casual
ly collected, and told to dealers.—The result was as
they had foreseen unlimited public confidence.
The concern thus conducted, has been gradually en
larged, and is now the most extensive of its kind in
America; supplying not only much of the demand
in Hie Middle, Western and Southern States, but ex-
porting to the West Indies, South America and the
British Posessions in Asia. DAVID LANDRETH.

TIIE GREATEST DISCOVERY OF THE
AGE.
D R. TOBIAS’S VENETIAN LINIMENT is war
ranted to be superior to any other medicine yet
known for the cure of
Wens, Burns, Coughs, Lumbago, Headache, Dysen
tery, Chilblains, Sea Sickness, Chapped Hands,
Old Sores, Croup, Swellings, Warts, Hemorrhage,
Cramp, Chronic Rheumatism, Weakness in the
Limbs, Cholera, Vomiting, Cuts, Bruises, Cold
Feet, Corns, Tooth-Ache, Sore Throats, Palpitation
of the Heart, tfc.
This Liniment was tho discovery of the late Dr. So
lomon, ol Gilead House, Liverpool, a graduate of the
College of Surgeons in Dublin, nud was used with
great success throughout England during a period of
15 years, since which it hus become tile property of
tlie present proprietor, the grandson of tlie fate doc
tor; and during the time it hns been introduced into
this country over 1000 certificates have been received,
speaking in the highest terms of its pain releiving
qualities; and to prove what it is represented to be,
every agent is ordered to refund the money should it
fail to give relief when used according to the drections.
A tew certificates are given.
Ccrtjicate oi Mrs. L. I. Cohen.
Having used in my family, with tho most complete
success, Dr. Tobias’s Venetian Liniment for croup,
oough, headache pain in tho limbs, sore throat, &c„ I
feel it no more than an act of justice to the Doctor to
give thia certificate ; nnd the speedy cures it hns affec
ted, have been moat astonishing. I am never without
a bottle of it in my house, and am sure no one will re
gret trying it.
SOPHIA COHEN, 261 Ninth streot.
Certificate of Mrs. W. E. Cornish.
Dr. Tobias—Sir: One of my children wus severely
attacked with croup. I used your Venetian Lini
ment which gave immediate relief, and I really think
It was the means of saving my child’s life. Under
no consideration wouid I he without a bottle in my
house. I also consider it a most certain remedy lor
scalds nnd bruises, having thoroughly tested it for the
same.
SARAH CORNISH,354 Bowery,
City and County of New York, as—Andrew Hun
ter, of snid city, being duly sworn, doth depose and
say, that he was engaged lit superintending the con
struction of a sewer in 30th street, between thu 6th
nnd 8th avenues, and in hoisting up a large stone of
nearly a ton weight, the fall gave way and precipita
ted deponent, with the stone, into tlie sewer, a distance
ol over fifteen feet.stnking him on tile hack nnd
shoulder, which so severely jammed und bruised de-
poneut, thathe wus taken up insensible and thought
to bo killed. Dr. Tobins wus immediately sent tor,
and applied the Venetian Liniment, which so revived
this deponent that in n few minutes he iva able to
speak ; and by the constant use of this most valuable
preparation, lie was sufficiently recovered to attend
to his business as usual,in the shortspaco of lourdays,
to the astonishment of all who witnessed thenccident
