1 feel constrained from a sense of duty to mnko
the following statement, conscious that it may appear
unprofessional. Mr. Charles Wade, ol’this city, was
quite low with Pulmonary Consumption, tor which I
had been treating with less than usual success. At
his request, and flint of his friends, 1 permitted him
to try Dr. Rogers’Liverwort aud Tar; and 1 must
confess that its effects were really surprising. After
using the second bottle my visits were discontinued,
nnd ho was soon restored to health. J do con
scientiously recommend my brother practitioners to
prescribe this remedy in all pulmonary complaints
which bailie the ordinary mode of treatment.

struction of a sewer in 30th street, between the 6th
and 8th uvenues, und in hoisting up a lurge stone of
nearly a ton weight, the fall gave way and precipita
ted deponent, with the stone, into the sewer, a distance
of over fifteen feet,striking him on tho buck and
shoulder, which eo severely jammed and bruised de
ponent, that he was taken up insensible nnd thought
to be killed. Dr. Tobias was immediately sent tor,
andnpplicd the Venetian Liniment, which so revived
this deponent tlint in a fow minutes he wa able to
speak ; nnd by the constant use of this moat valuable
preparation, he was sufficiently recovered to attend
to his business as usual,inthe short space of four days,
to the astonishment of all who witnessed the accident.
