A Ghost ‘Store.—A colored girl «t Boonsbnro,
I Md., imagining thnt she saw a ghost on the stairs,
I leaped out of a window 25 feet from the ground, but
| did not hurt herself in the least
EP’Amin Bee, the Turk, was entertained on
Wednesday evening at Dr. Hitchcock’s beautiful
I coantry residence, at Newton, near Boston. A large
Itnraber of guests were present upon the occasion,
■the heat providing special railroad trains to bring
|them and return tbem to their homes. On leaving
• the cars, the party invited, proceeded to the house,
I which was soon brilliantly illuminated, while a fine
■ band ofmusic gave forth a melodious welcome.
iMIiantfireworks were sent up, both at the entrance
land departure of tlie company. On one side of the
■doorway hung the Turkish flog, and on the other the
limerican. The whole entertainment was on the
Imostliberal scale. The centre ornament of the sup-
Ipertable bore the inscription, “Amin Bee, tlie Na-
|tioaa guest,” surmounted by the Tunkishand Amerf
can flags in miniature. The distinguished guest
was, of course, highly delighted.
