It is eelf evident, that unless the seeds which wo may sow, are good in all respects, it will be folly to ex- pectfavorable results—cither we shall be disappoint ed by their not vegetating, or what is still more vexatious, find, after careful culture, that the variety is worthlessHow many from their own experi ence can estimate the annoyance of such an event I Conscious of the room for improvement, and assured that the seeds-man who should justly be entitled to confidence, would receive ample support, the foun ders ot the establishment, now conducted by the subscriber, started more than half a century ago, with the determination to sell nothing but what was urthy of credit; and that they might the more eer- tainl£ accomplish their object, resolved to produce, a* far a* possible, the seeds which they should vend; >'jerience having shown them that most imported *■ cods could not be relied on, much less those casual ly collected, and sold to dealers.—The result wus as they had foreseen unlimited public confidence. The concern thus conducted, has been gradually en larged, and is now the moat extensive of its kind in America ; supplying not only much of the demand In the Middle, Western and Southern States, but ex porting to the West Indies, South America and the British Posessions in Asia.
