I feel constrained from a sense of duty to make
tlie following statement, conscious that it may appear
unprofessional. Mr. Charles Wade, ofthisjity. was
Quite low with Pulmonary Consumption, for which J
had been trenting with less than usual success. At
his request, and that of his friends, I permitted him
to try Dr. Rogers’ Liverwort and Tar ; and I must
confess that its effects were really surprising. After
using the second bottle my visits were discontinued,
and lie was soon restored to health. 1 do con

prescribe this rftnedy in all pulmonnry complaints
Which baffle the ordinary mode of treatment.

Compound Fluid Ex-tract of Conyza and
Styllingia.
rjlHIS preparation is a Concentrated Extract, con
taining all the Active Medical Properties of the
Conyza, (commonly known as Black Root,) and the
Styllingia, or Queen’s Delight.
These plants hove been long used among our South
ern Negroes, and recontly by the Medical Profession,
with the happiest results, in cases of Chronic Rheu
matism, Ulcers of long standing, and Secondary
Syphilis. It is much superior to any preparation of
Sarsaparilla as an alterative, being more active nnd
prompt ill its operation on the system. These facts
have induced the subscribers to present to the atten
tion of Physicinns a fluid extract prepared strictly ac
cording to Chemical and Pumiaeeutieal science, de
void ot all the feculent and inert parts of the l oots,
not doubting that it will supersede the unscientific and
crude preparations hitherto used.
Price—$1 per bottle, or six bottles for $5. '
