HENRY MORSE. Cincinnati, Nov. 8th, 1847. From AVillinm RiclinmlH, M. 1). I feel constrained from a sciibc of duty to mnko the following statement, conscious that it may appear unprofessional. Mr. Charles Wade, ofthiscity, was quite low with Pulmonary Consumption, for which 1 had been treating with lees than usual success. At his request, and that of his friendo, I permitted liim to try Dr. Rogers’ Liverwort and Tar ; and I must confess that its effects were really surprising. After using the second bottle my visits were discontinued, and he was soon restored to health. I do con scientiously recommend my brother practitioners to prescribe this nmedy in all pulmonary complaints which bailie tho ordinary mode of treatment. WILLIAM J. RICHARDS, M.,D. Sold Wholesale and Retail, by THOMAS M. TURNER & CO., and TURNER & ODEN, Savannah, Ga. GEORGE PAYNE, Macon. Oct. 10 A RESCUE TO THE AFFLICTED. THE CELEBRATED. A certain remedy for all fixed pains in the Side, Chest, Loins, Back, Bowels, Muscles, Rheumatism in all its varied forma, Nervous Affections, Lungs and Liver Complaints, Spinal Affections, Female Weak nesses, etc., etc. Fqr the above complaints this Plas ter has no equal. The great, celebrity which it has already enquired, not only in the old hut in the now world, the extraordinary cures it lias performed in tjie most extreme eases of suffering, have acquired for it such a reputation, that tlie proprietor has not until recently been able to supply half tlie demand. The sales throughout every city, town and village in the United States, are without a parallel I A circumstance not surprising, when the vast a- mount of human suffering relieved by its use is con sidered. In spinal Defects, tlie benefit usually is of the most decided character. In Nervous Complaints, nineteen cases out of twenty readily yield to the pen etrating stimula combined in this valuable prepara tion. In Rheumatism, either acute or chronic, the claims of tho Hebrew Plaster have long ainee been univer sally acknowledged. Those who are laboring under weak backs, no matter from whnt cause tile weakness may have originated—even if such persons have been misguided in previous applications in the use of the Hebrew Pluster they will find the affected part sud denly restored to its original soundness. As a supporter in cases of constitutional weakness it will be fuund of great advantage. It is particular ly recommended to Females wlio are suffering from sudden wenkness, or general debility. In short, it embraces all the virtues which the most scientific mind was capable of compounding fr om valuable substan ces found in the old world, and wiil be found entire ly free from those objections which are a source of complaint with the numerous spread-plasters now before the public. jpjr” These plnsters possess the advantage of be ing put up in air tight boxes—lienee they retain their full virtues in all climates. Beware of Counterfeit* and Base Imitations. None genuine without tho engraving of Jew David on the wi upp’er around each box. Price 50 cents per box. Each box contains sufficient to spread six of eight plasters. Marks of the Genune : 1st. Thegenuine ispu.t up in. smooth, engineturned bottomed boxes. 2.
