From Witlinm Klclmrda, M. D.
I feel constrained trom a sense oi duty to make
the following statement, conscious that it niny nppear
unprofessional. Mr. Charles Wade, ot this city, was
quite low with Pulmonary Consumption, tor which I
had been treating with less than usual success. At
his request, and that of his friends, I permitted him
to try Dr. Rogers’ Liverwort nnd Tar; and I must
confess thatits effects were really surprising. After
using the second bottle my visits were discontinued,
and he was soon Restored to health. I do con
scientiously recommend my brother practitioners to
prescribe this r< medy in all pulmonary complaints
which baffle the ordinary mode of treatment.

Compound Fluid Ex-ti-nr.t of Conyza and
Styllfni;ia.
'ItHIS preparation is n Concentrated Extract, con
l taming all the Active Medical Properties of the
•Jonyza, (commonly known aa Black Root,) and the
Stylliiigin, or Queen’s Delight.
These plants have been long used among our South
ern Negroes, and recently by the Medical Profession,
with the happiest results, in cases of Chronic Rheu
matism, Ulcers of long standing, und Secondary
Syphilis. It is much superior to any preparation ot
Sarsaparilla as an alterative, being more active and
prompt in its operation on the system. These facte
have induced tho subscribers to present to the atten
tion of Physicians a fluid extract prepared strictly nc
cording to Chemical und rarniaceutical science, de
void ol all the feculent and inert parts of the roots-
not doubting that it willaupersede the unscientific and
crude preparations hitherto used;
Price—$1 per bottle, or six bottles for 65.
