CHARLESTON, SEPT. 6.—Cotton.—'The trans
actions in Uplands since our last review, published on
the 1st hist., nave been of such a limited amount, aud
withul ut such unsettled quotations, that we are un
able to give any reliablo criterion of the market. As
a general remark, wo would state, however, that
owing to tho exceedingly small stock offering, buyers
have been compelled to follow holders and accede to
their upward tending prices; the bulk of the sales
having been at the nominal quotations of 8*4 &> 9,
for middling to middling fair quality. The totul sales
giiice the 1st Inst, inclusive, havo amounted to only
320 bales.
Nanai Stores.—About 250 bbls. Yellow Dip Tur
pentine, brought on arrival $2,50.
