Charleston, S. J., March 7, 1851
Mr. Wm. Bogle: Dear Sir—Some time ugo my

begun to fear I should turn prematurely bald. After
using many of the popular articles of the day, u friend
suggested your “ Hyperion Fluld,”\vhich I wasinduced
to try, with, I confess, but little hope of success. I
however, surprised und gratified after a shorttrialto
find a decided improvement, nnd I now possess a full
crop of healthy hair, which I can only attribute to the
extraordinary qualities of your justly celebrated
“ Hyperion Fluid.”
You uro nt liberty to publish this for tho benefit of

crown your deserving efforts, und that your sales of
the Hyperion Fluid may he commensurate with its
merits. Yours very respectfully,

There is n hnbit which boys teach each other, at tho
uendemy or college—a hnbit indulged iu when by
themselves, in'solitudc, growing up with tho boy to
manhood, und which, it not abandoned in due time,
not only begets serious obstacles to matrimonial hap
piness, but gives rise to u series of protracted, insid
ious,’quid devastating affections. Few of those who
indulge in this pernicious practice, nre aware of tho
consequences, until they liud tho nervous system shat
tered, feel strange and unaccountable feelings, vague
fears iu thu mind. Tho individual becomes feeble, he
is unable to labor with accustomed vigor, or to apply
his iniud to study; his step is tardy und weak, he is
dull, irresolute, tho countenance is downcast, ihe eyes
without nuturnl lustre, sbamefacodness is apparent.—
These arc symptoms which should awaken the atten
tion of those similarly afflicted.
IF THE VICTIM
Bn conscious of the cause of his decay, and huviug re
linquished the odious practice ho suffers under those
terrible nocturnal nnd involuntary emissions, which
weaken and shame him, producing mental and physi
cal prostration. If he emancipate himself before the
practice has done its worst, and enter matrimony, his
marriage is unfruitful, and his sense tells him that this
is caused by his early follies.
Too many think they will hug tho secret to tlteir
own hearts, and euro themselves. Alus ! how often
is this a fatal delusion, nnd how many a promising
youth, who might have been an ornamout to society,
hns faded from tho oarth.
