In the first place, we cun see no excuse grille intro duction of bonnets. They certainly impede duction — j... hauritig, and nro almost always in tho wey of those uroinid; the broad brim, or “ poke,” as the English eloquently term it, standing out in hold relief. Particularly iu our climate, where there is no duugor from the exposure, a pictur esque hood or scurf, is much better adapted to tho service, and is cosilv disposed of. It is not the stylo now, to dress the huir showily. At the Northern subscription concert it is almost inva riably worn without even n iiaud of ribbon. Hut We do not object to the last, or even to a sprig of natural flowers i for variety, of course, adds to tho brilliancy of an audience. Short sleeves and low corsages should never be worn, althoug expected in full opera costume.
