DUO DE MONTEBELLO WINE.
T HE UNDERSIGNED havipg been appoint
ed SOLE AGENT for the city or Savaunali, for
the sale of this old and Justly celebrated brand of.
Champagne Wine, now calls the attention of tliopub;/
lie to the “ RE-INTRODUCTION” of this favorite
brand ngntn amongst us. Many of our oldest citizens
must remember when this superior Due De Monte
bello stood pre-eminent as a Champagne Wine here,
but by the Introduction of a spurioiiB article, and sold
ns the Due De Montchullo Wine, by a set of # fraudulent
imitators of the brand, (many of whom wore mulcted
lu heavy damages mid paid a well deserved penalty
by flno and Imprisonment) In consequence of these
frauds acting so strongly agalnpt this brand, nnd not
wishing to have its established reputation tarnished,
the Due De Montebello for years has withdrawn Ills
Wines from this country, and most or his Wines went
to 8t.. Petersburg and other Courts, preserving its good
reputation wherever introduced.
About two years since, however, ho appointed tho
firm of Messrs. Ward & Simonln, of Now York, (now
Mons. Amedeo H. Simonln) his sole Agent for the Uni
ted States for the sale of his Wines. Tho heretofore
good character established by those WInos, warrant me
