condition for the payment of the fura of eight hundred
pounds, bearing date on or about the thirteenth day of June,
one thousand ftven hundred and eighty-two, a copy whereof,
as nearly as the petitioner could recoiled, was annexed to
the said petition, and lodged in tlie Clerk’s office, togetlier
with an affidavit, purfuaut to the ad of Afferablv in that
case made and provided; that tlie said bond was loft or
destroyed; and praying the benefit intended by laid ad;-
It is ordered, That, on other circumstantial proof being,
laid before the Court, the said bond be elhhlilhed as di
rected by tlie laid ad, the said Tlronias Stone publilhing a
notice as there in required, and for the space of fix months,

ceived, and excited much agitation. The result was to
be expected— —convoys are to be granted to neutral vessels.

of the French -Government.
1. All kinds of cotton velvets; all Huff's and woollen
cloths, whether mi Je of cotton or hair, wholly or mixed;
all quiltings, dimities, nankinets, and inuflinets, spun
woollens and cottons, and Englilh carpets.
2. All kinds of hosiery, cotton, wool, or mixed.
3. Buttons of all kinds.
4. Every kind of plated ware, hardware, cutlery,
clock work, and other iron, Reel, pewter, copper, braß,
llieet iron, tiu and other metals, polillied or rough, pure
or mixed.
5. leather, tanned, curried, or prepared, worked or
not worked; caniager put togetkr or in pieces; harneis,
and every other faddltry article.
6. Ribbons, hats, gauzes, Ihavvls, known to be Eng*

NASSAU, fNew Providence) March 2.
IN the beginning of lad month the Brigands made an
attack on our advanced; ■vs at Cape Nichola Mole,
in which they were repuiled with considerable j[lofs. The
day after Col. Stc art, with 300 Britilh troops, attacked
their encampment about fix miles in the country, routed
them, and brought off two pieces of their artillery. *
In fome fkirmiihcs in the vicinage of Port au Prince, -
which happened al)out the middle of last month, we are
told that fortune was not equally favorable. A body - of
about 100 French Loyalists was attacked bv avaftlv lupe
rior force t,f the enemy, through whom they cut their
way, with the loss of 40 of their number, and effected
their escape into Port au Prince.
Since onr last have arrived here, two Spanish schooners,
one a prize to the Lark, the other to tlie Charlotte, both
privateers of this pt>it.
A letter from Caicos, dated the 1 7th tilt, mentions flhe
loss of a vessel froin New York, on board of which was
Mr. Manning, wlio, with two feanieti, were Lived. A
few days after he went in his boat to pick up fome lumber
that was drifting, and the boat upsetting lie was drowned.
March 6. Tlie fallowing prizes have been lent in here
since our last: Brig Frederica, a Hamburgher, from
Charleston for Havana, by thc Lynx Hoop of war. Ship
Christina, under Anurican colors, f*nn New Orleans for
Havana, and two Spanish schooners, by the George and
Ophelia, Cock bum. Spanish brig Union, from New Or
leans for Havana, by the Mary Anne, Cook, who has
taken two other'Spanilh vessels, now* hourly looked for.
Phis forenoon an American fciiooner from Havana, with
a considerable sum in specie on board, was seized in this
liarbor hy order of Capt. Cochran of.tlw I’hetis frigate.

A Spanilh brig, from New Orleans for Havana, by the
Marv Anne, Cook.
A Spanish armed brig, a King’s packet, from La Vera
Cruz for Havana, by the Charlotte, Serjeant.
A Spanish brig, cut out of a port in Cuba by the Lovely
Lais, Artrill.
A Spanilh dragging fehooner, by the William and Mary,
Ruffe!.
An American fehooner, the Maffadittfetts of Providence,
partly laden with liaval floras, from Charleston for Havana,’
by the Lark, Tucker.
An American brig, called the Nymph of Baltimore,
from Havana, with a valuable cargo, is shore on the cosli
of Aaco. Several vessels are gone from this to her aluft*
ance.

meet at the Filature, on Monday tlie 2d day of
April next, (it being a quarterly meeting) agreeable to the
following resolution:

and that the Society lhall meet on the forenoon of that
