THE Aft, entitled, “ An Aft for altering the Great
Seal of the State of Georgia,” naked the Bth day ot
February, being taken up and conßdered,
It is order id, That a premium of 30 dollars be given
for the beR drawing of the device for the great Rial of this
Rate, in purtuance of the 2d left ion of tlie fait! aft, the
device being as follows, to wits

tive; the firlt pillar to have engraven on its bale, W IS
DOM; the fecond,JUSTICE; and the third, MODE
RATION: cn the right of the UR p’-Uav, a Man Handing

in defence of the Conßitution: The motto, STATE OF
GEORGIA, 1799.”
Provided Rich drawing be lodged in the. Executive Office
at Louisville on or before the actli day 0$ April next; the
size of the seal to he two inches and one quarter in diame
ter. • ,
And it is further ordered, That proposals be received
at the fame Office, until the 26th of April, for forming,
making, and engraving the fame, agreeably to Rich dev ice
and drawing, in a maflerly. and v.or!.manlike manner, on
or before the 3d day of July next. Bend and lecurity to
be given for the due performance of the w ork within the
time limited in the Run of 2060 dollars. The pftepofals
will be sealed up, addressed to the'Executive, audmmked,
Proposals for forming, making, a/td engraving the great
seal of the State of Georgia. Ths drawings will also be
sealed up, addressed in like manner, and marked, Drawings
for the device of the great fed, and will be examined on
the 20th of April aforefaid.
The calh will be paid for the drawing the moment R is
decided on as the belt design, and for the fed immediately
the work is completed and delivered, if applied for..
