A valuable Plantation in the
county of Liberty, about three miles from a public land
ing, and fix from the sea board, containing, old Purvey,
(including three trails adjoining) about 1000 acres, the
quality for RICE or COTTON not to be exceeded in
the Hate; the latter (if a fault) is rather too ilror.g for
cotton, as the culture of that article ha/been tried, and
i the luxuriant lituation rendered it not so productive as
| expelled, the fame land producing from 35 to 40 bull.els
j corn per acre annually; the rice land as fertile,as can be
j wilhed for, free from grass, and generally produces on an
average 1200 weight nett rice per acre, having the ad
vantage of a refersoir if improved on. There are about
90 acres of the cotton land cleared and under good fence.
70 of which planted, and about the fame quantity of rice land
under anew fence, and 80 of which planted. Os the
uncleared cotton land upwards of 100 acres, 80 of which
can be procured in one body, and about 30 or 40 acres
rice land. On the premises are a good and convenient
dwellinghoufe, poultry houses, Rabies, kitchen, negro
houses, &c. See. From the compact situation of laid
plantation, the agreeabltnefs cf its neighborhood, the
healthfulnifs, and ieveral other advantages, it is rendered
an object lor the purchaser. Nothing induces the pro
prietor to nuke sale but that of his withing to leave the
Hate.

RAN AWAY from the fubferiber
on or about the ill of March last,
! jA j A Net?ro Fellow named Frank,
| a blacksmith by trade; he is about 5 feet
10 or 11 hiches high, rather of a yellow
i_ complexion; from a natural bend in his
w.,, mwJ neck his head inclines very much to one
(boulder, so much as to be” plainly difeo
vered at a considerable diflance. When he firft absented
himfelf it was supposed he had gone 1 vards Augusta,
where lie long resided, and wrought at bis"trade with his
father. They then both belonged to Mr. William Wal
lace, merchant, and moved with him to this place about
four years ago. Frank is very artful and speaks good
English; he is also very well known in Augusta and Sa
vannah. The above reward, and all reasonable ex'pences,
will be paid on delivering the above fellow to the fubferiber
or the Gaoler of this city. If he returns of his own ac
cord he will be forgiven, but if taken severely punished.

Man, named JOSEY, formerly the
property ot Roger Parker Saunders,
efq. and purchased at the sale of Joseph
Reynolds’s ellate. Josey is about £
feet 10 inches high, of a black com
plexion, speaks very sensibly, is well
made, and has a forge fear on one of his flioulders; he is
iufpeaeL to be about the upper part of Liberty county.
Whoever will deliver the said fellow to the gaoler at
Riceborough, or at any other gaol in this .state or Caro
lina, and inform mr. William Girardeau, William Ed
mgs, or the fubferiber, fliall receive the above reward,
and all reasonable charges. .
