Paris , G&ober 24. Gen, Brnne, in his dispatch of
the 19th, informs government, that, in consequence of
the id article of the preliminaries, and of the treaty of
Calliglione, he had. summoned the grand duke’s general to
disarm the levy in mate, which he having refilled to do,
lieut. gen. Dupont entered Florence on the 15th, and ge
neral of brigade Clement entered Leghorn on the 16th.
All Tulcany is now occupied by the French army. More
than 25,000 men of the levy in.mafs have been dispersed,
disarmed, and sent home. The French troops found their
fame diffident to ensure to them viftory. Gen. Somma
riva and the Audriaß corps which were in Tuscany re
treated to Ancona. All the Englith merehandife in Tus
cany, and particularly at Leghorn, has been confifcated
for the benefit-of the republic. The disarming of this
banditti occasioned us fcarcelv any loss. Our troops

London, November 2. At the levee this day mr.
Ellsworth was presented to the king by the American
minister.
His majedy, in the new seal, which is now prepared, in
dead of being flyled “ King of Great France, and
Ireland,” dyles himfelf (imply, 44 Britannicorum Rex,”
King of the Britifli. This title includes not only the
Britilh ides, but all fubjefts, in e very quarter of the globe,
living under the Britilh dominion.
November 4. We mentioned yesterday that the Fif
guard, of 44 guns, had captured a French frigate, and sent
her into Plymouth. She turns out to be the Venus, of
32 guns and 250 men. She was taken after a long chafe
in the Bay of Bifcav, but made no refidance. She was
bound from Bred to Senegal with difpatcbes, which were
thrown overboard. The Fifguard was left in chafe of the
famous French privateer the Grande Decide, which, how
ever, made her dftfape. ’
.The channel fleet failed from Torbay with a fine wiud
on Saturday lad.
November 8. On Thursday lord Nelson, with fir
William and lady Hamilton, arrived at Yarmouth from
Hamburgh in the King George podoilice packet. Upon
his lordfliip’s landing the populace took the horses from
the carriage in which he was and drew him to the Wreil
ler’s inn. The mayor and corporation immediately waited
en him, ami presented the freedom of the town, fome time
ago veted to him for his services to his country.
November 17. By accounts from Italy it appears
hodilities have been on the point of being renewed in that
country; but an agreement has been made'"between the
Andrian general Bellegarde and the French general Brtme
by which the former yields up Ferrara, and the latter con
sents to wave any claims refpefting Tuicany, so unjirftly
seized by the French. That violation of faith made’ a
great impression on the court of Vienna, but prudence
Rifled its resentment.- Tlie demolition of Ulm, lngoldadt,
and Philipduirg, contrary to treaty, has also made a con
fidence fer.fsticn in Germany, and tlie Moniteur has at
tempted a defence of the measure. The demolition of
L hn, it is said, has been lufpeuded in consequence of cer
tain remondrances. _ . . . j
