WHEREAS the laid Jofcph and William Dupuis
did, on the 24th day’ of April last, obtain, on the
common law fide of this honorable court, a verdict, anti
did thereupon enter up judgment againfl the said Charles
Abercrombie, for the sum of 4 285 dollars 70 cents: And
whereas the said Charles Abercrombie did file his petition
and bill on the equity iide of the said court, praying relief
from the said judgment, and, for the reasons alleged in
the laid bill, an injunction was granted, forbidding all
further proceedings taking place on the judgment aforefaid;
and, in tlie term of November last, it appearing to the
court that the said Jofcph and William were citizens of
the .state of Kentucky, and not within the jurifdi<ftion of
the court: It was therefore ordered, “ That HQtire be
“ publilfied in one of the -Gazettes of Savannah and Au
“ ‘gufta, ten weeks fucceflively, dating the names of par
“ ties, and that injuudtion Was iflited, directing the de
u fendants to come in within three months, and file their

of the estate of George Handley', deceased, praying
the foreolofure of the equity of redemption of a trad! or
parcel of land, called Butterfield’s Point, containing five
hundred acres, situate, lying, and being, on Colonel’*
Island, in the county of Liberty, nearly opposite tlie island
of St. Catherine, and the found thereof, and adjoining
lands of colonel John Baker and lands of Thomas Young,
find having inch lliapes and marks as are expressive and laid
clown in the plat thereof, reference thereto being had may
more fully appear, mortgaged by the said Samuel Elbert
t* tlie laid Sarah Handley, her heirs and assigns, for the
security of the sum of two hundred and eighty-four pounds,
equal in value to one thousand two hundred and seventeen
dollars fourteen, cents, with interest; and on motion of
mr. Harris, of counsel for the plaintiff; it if ordered ,
That the principal, interest, and costs, upon the said mort
gage, be paid into court within twelve months from this
day, and unless the fame ffiall be so paid the dqu'ty of re
demption will-from-henceforth be foreefofed, and other
proceedings take place, pursuant to the a& of assembly in
i'iich, case made and provided. And it is further order
ed, in purfuante of the fakl act, That this rule be pilb
liffied in one of the public gazettes of this state, at leafl
once in every month, until the time appointed for pay
ment, or served on the mortgager, or his special agent, at
