I obierved in your Gazette of the 12th ilift, an invita

elcdiion to the Prcjidcncy , an event recent enough to be
recollected by any person who can retain his ideas a week,
without the ajjijlance of a dinner; and, by the Columbian
Museum of the 17th, I find an invitation for the fame pur
pole extended to the Citizens. Why this condescension?
or are there not a luffu ient number of Republican Citizens
in Savannah to afford such a Festival that they are obliged
to call on all Citizens? If the exclujive Republicans
find, after fix days trial, that they really cannot go it, I
would recommend them to extend the subscript ion to a
class who expect to benefit by the new order of things in
their behalf.
