BANKRUPTCY.
WHEREAS a commission of bankruptcy hath been
awarded and ifTued against Thomas R. C. Hamil
ton and Ingram M. Monnox, late of the city of Savannah,
merchants and copartners, and they, being declared bank
rupts, are hereby required to iurrender themselves to the
commiflioners in the said commission named, or the major
part of them, on the thirtieth day ol July inflant, on the
seventh day of August, ?od on the third day of September,
next, at ten o’clock in the forenoon ol each ot the said
days,, at the courthouse in Savannah, and make a full dist
• closure and difcovoty of their eßates ahd effedls, when and
where the creditors are to come prepared to prove their
debts; and, at the second fitting, to choose aliignees; and,
at the last fitting, the said bankrupts are required to fipilh
their examination, and the creditors are to alient to, ordif
fent from, the allowance of their certificates; all persons
indebted to the said bankrupts, or that have any ol their
effects, are not to pay or deliver the fame but to whom the
commiflion'ers {hall appoint, but give notice to

A RESOLUTION in the words following, to wit,
Resolved , That his Excellency the Governor be,
£< and be is hereby authorized and requested to pursue such
“ measures as in bis judgment may moft effedlually after-
tain and colled all just claims which tht citizens of this
*• state may have against the Creek Nation ot Indians*
“ which said claims (hall, before they are exhibited, b'e
duly authenticated, by the oath of one or more difin-
terefted persons, takep and certified by any judge, justice
of the peace, or clerk of the superior or inferior courts,”
having palled both Branches of the Legislature, and re
ceived the assent of the Executive,
It is ordered, That all persons having claims against
the Creek Nation of Indians, for property of any descrip
tion by them taken or plundered, be, and they are hereby
required to transmit the Tame as Toon as poflible to the Ex
ecutive Department, authenticated in the manner by the
afore recited resolution pointed out.
And it is further ordered,, That the following certifi
cate of Horatio Marbury, Esquire, Secretary of the State,
be publilhed in the several Gazettes of this state for the in
formation of the citizens thereof. ,

Ordered,
THAT the Health Officer be requested to notify the
Pilots, that no vessel from any port in Spain, or
the Weft Indies, will be permitted to come higher than
Five Fathom Hole, without having firft obtained a certi
ficate of health.

Savannah, August, 2d, 1802*
INFORMATION being laid before Council, that the
Yellow Fever has made its appearance in the City of
Philadelphia,
It is ordered. That the Health-Officer be directed to
order all vefiefe coming from the Port of Philadelphia to
be brought to at Cock four, and there to perform a qua
rantine ol fifteen days, including their days of failing, and
that, during the performance cf the said quarantine, the
woollen and cotton goods on board fliall lie, on every lair
day, exposed to the open air, and the holds of the vessels
ventilated in the bell poflible manner, and that, after that
time, they be permitted to come up as high as} Five
Fathom Hole, and there remain until they fliall receive
a certificate of health from the Health-Officer.
Provided nevertbelefs , That the above goods (ball be
expoled to the air, and the vtflH ventihted, at least three
davs before the laid veflel be permitted to come up to the
fakl last place, notwithftafidirtg the fifteen dap from the
failing of the said veflel may have before expired.
Ami it is further ordered , That the Health-Officer
compel the mailers or commanders Gs vessels coming to this
port, with any articles iubjeft to putrefaftion, and finding
the fame in a decayed or unsound state, to land such articles
at any place which the said mailer or commander may think
proper, so that the said place be not higher up the river than
Five Fathom Hole; and that in such case the said vessel
ftiall be well ventilated, at least three days after the dif
cbarge of such decayed or unsound articles, before Ihe is
allowed to fail up to Savannah.
And it is further ordered, That all persons contraven
ing these orders {hall be proftcuted as the quarantine law
directs.
