Classic each of the last two years.
The Jaguars will once again
open up with an exhibition game
against a foreign opponent. No
vember 9, the Jaguars will battle
the Angola National Team, a team
Coach Bryant knows quite well.
“I'm very familiar with them,
because two years agowhen I was
coaching on the 22-and-under
team with FIBA, the Angola team
was oneofthe participating teams,
so I'm aware of their caliber of
play and that will be a challengeto
open with them,” said Bryant.
Another annual event, the AC
Holiday Classic, returns to the
schedule as well. Joining Augus
ta College in the four-team event
will be Clayton State (their open
ing opponent), Morehouse College
and the University of the District
of Columbia.
“The Holiday Classic is some
thing we've done the last couple of
years, and last year’s was very
good,” said Bryant. Clayton State
and Morehouse, a perennial
NCAA 111 top 20 team, step in to
replace Savannah State and Nor
folk State. The University of the
District of Columbia will return
for the second consecutive year.
Said Coach Bryant of the over
all schedule, “It should be a very
challenging year. We are excited
over the schedule.”
One noticeable change in the
schedule is that for the first time
ever, the Peach Belt Athletic Con
ference Tournament will not be
held at the Physical Education/
Athletic Complex. The tourna
ment has moved this year to Geor
gia College in Milledgeville.
The Jaguars return eight
lettermen from last year’s 9-19
team, including All-Conference
Division I transfers Frank Burau
and Chad Cook, as well freshman
Ikeno Patrick and JUCO transfer
Lofton Beale.

AC Jaguars undefeated, roll by
USC Aiken Pacers 4-1
AIKEN,S.C.
Paced by Neil MacDonald’s first
career hat trick, the Augusta Col
lege Jaguars defeated USC Aiken
at the Odell- Wecks Soccer Com
plex 4-1, giving the Jaguars their
first PBAC win of the season.
MacDonald opened the scoring,
stealing a ball inside the Aiken
penalty box and striking a shot
into the lower corner, giving USC
Aiken keeper Danny King no
chance.
In the second half, things got
interesting. The Pacers’ Eric Mora
was taken down in the penalty
box after a great no look pass from
Brad Saenz. Zach Craddock
knocked in the penalty kick, and
the game was even at 1-1.
