i 20TH ANNUAL HEPHZIBAH COUNTRY FAIR
'AND BARBEQUE FESTIVAL will be held Tues
iday through Saturday, September 26 - 30. It
‘will be hosted by the Hephzibah Lions Club,
‘Hephzibah Association and Richmond County
Recreation and Parks Department. Amuse
ment rides will open on Tuesday, September
26 at 6:00 p.m. and continue nightly until
11:00 p.m. Atraditional “Country Fair” setting
will begin Friday, September 29 at 6:00 p.m.
Chicken dinners will be sold on Saturday from
11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. The parade will

THECSRAGIRL SCOUTSTEDDY BEAR FAIR
will be held on Saturday, September 23, from
10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Augusta Ex
change Fairground. The Teddy Bear Fair is a
fun filled caravan of activities for area girls and
their parents. It is designed to provide warm
cuddly teddy bears to children recently re
moved from their homes, by authorities, for
reasons beyond their control. Admission to the
event is one, warm fuzzy adoptable “Teddy” or
stuffed animal. The newly collected teddy
bears will be donated to Safe Homes of Augus
ta, the Shelter for Abused Children and area

at the Hephzibah/Carroll Community Center,

Tae-Kwon-Do is the oldest and most powerful
form of hand-and-foot fighting. Students will

STEP AEROBICS will be held at the Hephzi

VOLUNTEERS
THE SENIOR CITIZENS COUNCIL is seeking
volunteers to deliver meals to homebound
senior citizens in the Augusta area. To be part
of the Senior Citizens Council’s Meals-On-
Wheels program, volunteers are needed for
about an hour between 10:30-11:30 a.m. Vol
unteers may deliver meals on a scheduled
basis as little as once aweek or may serveinan
occasional backup basis. All volunteers are
provided with an orientation to their routes and
delivery procedures. For more information
