NOTICE OF INTENT
The Augusta-Richmond County Transit Department is currently providing charter bus service
inthe Augusta Metropolitan Area. Augusta-Richmond County proposes to continue the charter
bus service as described below.
(1) Charter Bus Service will be provided by Augusta Public Transit Monday through Friday,
Saturdays and Sundays.
(2) Hours of Service: 6:00 a.m. - 12:00 midnight.
(3) Service Area - all proposed charter service will be limited to Augusta-Richmond County,
Georgia. :

Any private charter operators who desire to be considered willing and able, must submit within
thirty (30) days of this notice written evidence to prove that they are willing and able.
The evidence to be submitted by the private charter operator mustinclude a statement verifying
that the operator has the physical capability to provide the proposed charter service. Evidence
submitted must also include a copy of the document that the private operator has the legal
authority to provide the proposed charter service and that it meets all necessary safety
certifications, licensing and other legal requirements to provide the proposed charter service.

A complete review of the evidence submitted by the deadline will be made by the Commission-
Council within thirty (30) days of the deadline and within sixty (60) days of a letter containing
the results of the review will be sent to each private operator who submitted evidence.
