ters are for persons who do not have
air conditioning in their homes and
would like to go where air conditioning
is available. All centers have a sitting
area and water and are mostly acces
sibletothe handicapped. For specifics

12 Planning Unit, a sub-state office of

Retardation and Substance Abuse,

SHEPEARD COMMUNITY BLOOD
CENTER, 1533 Wrightsboro Road,
supplies the majority of hospitals in
the CSRA and depends on volunteer
donations to maintainthatsupply. The
following is a list of upcoming blood
drives:
A bloodmobile will be at the Aurora
Pavilion behind Aiken Regional every
Thursday in August from noon to 6
p.m. During the Dog Days of Summer
promotion, for every donor, one dollar
will be given to the Aiken A.S.P.C.A.
A bloodmobile will be stationed ev
ery Tuesday, from 4 - 8 p.m., in the
Publix parking lot at Evans Towne
Centre located at the intersection of
Washington and Belair Roads.
