3. Riggrs, anidispasker risers, staging eqiiipment. - -
4. Rain and sun protection for their own equipment.
5. Power distribution capabilities.
6. Lighting capabilities - for installation at top of bandshell
to provide washes, also follow spots.
7. 24-Hour service.

Friday, April 11, 1997 for furnishing:
Bid Item #97-039 1997 Pyrotechnics Displays
Augusta-Richmond County, Georgia is now accepting pro
posals for its 1997 pyrotechnics displays. Each is individual
ly listed below.
For each show, we require an opening barrage, followed by
the body and grand finale. The time duration of the show will
be determined by the budget. Almost all of our shows are
accompanied by a music soundtrack. Thus, we require each
to be hand-fired to ensure exact timing. We are looking for
a wide variety of high-quality shells with a minimum diam
eter of three (3) inches. Any information provided on unique
or specialty shells available will be welcomed. We want only
high aerial displays.
1. MEMORIAL DAY CONCERT - AMPHITHEATRE. Date:
Sunday, May 25, 1997 at 9:30 p.m. Rain date: Monday, May
26, 1997 (approx. 5 minutes).
2. RIVERFRONT FOURTH CELEBRATION - AMPHITHE
ATRE. Date: Friday, July 4, 1997 at 9:35 p.m. Rain date:
Saturday, July 5, 1997 (approx. 13 minutes).
3. ARTS IN THE HEART OF AUGUSTA - AMPHITHE
ATRE. Date(s): Friday, September 19, 1997 at 9:30 p.m.
(approx. 3 minutes). Sunday, September 21, 1997 at 9:00
p.m. (approx. 2 minutes).
4. RIVERWALK NEW YEAR’S CELEBRATION. Date:
Wednesday, December 31, 1997 at 12 midnight. No rain date
(approx. 5 minutes).
Please include the following when submitting your bid:
1. Three letters of recommendation.
2. Proof of liability insurance coverage.
3. An inventory of shells for each show indicating size and
country of origin.
Augusta-Richmond County Commission-Council reserves
the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive minor
defects in the process, and to accept the proposal deemed by
Augusta-Richmond County Commission-Council to be in
Augusta-Richmond County’s best interest. All issues ad
dressed in the request for proposals will be given consider
ation in determining the successful poser. :
Firéworks should be shot from the South Carolina side of the
Savannah River directly across from the Jessye Norman
Amphitheatre (contingent upon the golf course development
and site availability). Selected provider must secure written
permission from the property owners and provide a copy to
the Riverwalk Special Events Office.

NOTICE
The entire text of the draft Transportation Improvement Program
(TlP)for the Augusta Regional Transportation Study (ARTS) Area will
be available for review and comment at the following locations:
Augusta-Richmond County Planning Commission, 525 Telfair Street,
Augusta, Georgia and Aiken County Planning and Development, Suite
130, Kalmia Plaza, 1680 Richland Avenue West, Aiken, South Caroli
na. The draft document will be available from April 1 - April 30, 1997
during the hours of 8:30 a.m. t 0 5:00 p.m., Monday - Friday. Asummary
of the document may be obtained at each location or by calling (706)
821-1796.
The ARTS area covers the urbanized portions of Richmond and
Columbia County, Ga. and Aiken County, S.C. The TIP contains all
surface transportation projects scheduled to be funded over the next
three to five years as authorized by the federal transportation funding
acts. Any questions about the document should be directed to the staffs
of the Augusta-Richmond County Planning Commission at (706) 821-
1796 or Aiken County Planning & Development at (803) 642-1520. Any
persons with special needs related to handicapped accessibility or
foreign language should contact the Planning Commission for assis
tance.

a (10.6’ X 14’) rear projection screen, video projector, VHS
player, audio amplification, microphone, all necessary cables,
technical support and operation for Movies on the River to be
shown at the Jessye Norman Amphitheatre on the following
dates:
June 6, 13, 20, 27, and December 31, 1997.
In addition to the above, bidder must have the following
