Monday - Friday, April 7 - 11, the
Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art
will offer Art Camp during Mas
ters Week. Students between the
ages of four and 12 years will be
instructed in a variety of artistic
techniques. Children ages four and
five will meet from 10 - 11 a.m. each
day. Children ages 6 - 12 will have
two-hour sessions. Registration costs
$25 for children aged four and five,

will hold a 21-session course
called Washboard Cardio. Get
in shape for summer with this fine
tuned abdominal class designed to
wake up your metabolism. Some
low-impact aerobics are included
that will also work the upper and
lower abs. Class will be held from
6-7 p.m. on Mondays and Wednes
days and from 9-10 a.m. on Satur

CHILL . The program is designed
especially for the pregnant and
parenting young women. The
group meets Tuesday and Thurs
day mornings at Girls Incorpo
rated from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., and
transportation from home to the
club and back is provided. In a
warm and caring environment,
young women are supported
through the transition to parent
hood. Interested community volun
teers lead activities that deal with
parenting skills, self-esteem, basic
infant care, personal make-overs,
and a number of other activities.
During each visit to Girls Inc., the
expecting or new mothers will
work on craft items to be presented
to their new babies. At the comple
tion of the program, graduates re
ceive a free gift. The program is
partially funded by the High Risk
Youth Grant and there is no charge
to participate.
