the Gertrude Herbert Insti
tute of Art will offer Art Camp
sessions. Art Camp is designed
for children ages 4 - 12. This year’s
theme is “Visual Arts and Artists
from Around the World.” Camp
consists of four different weekly
sessions. Each session is from 10
a.m. - noon for children ages 6 -
12 and from 10 - 11:30 a.m. for
children ages 4 and 5. Tuition for
children ages 6 - 12 is SSO per ses
sion and for children ages 4 - 5
tuition is $25 per session. Visa and

University Hospital’s Weight
Management and Nutrition
Center will hold a Food, Fit
and Fun, Summer Fitness
Camp. Two other week-long ses
sions begin July 14 and August 4.
Summer Fitness Camp empha
sizes healthy eating, exercise and
wellness. Activities include field
trips, guest speakers and outdoor
adventures. Camp supervisors
and instructors are health care
professionals at University Hos
pital. The program will be held at
Health Central, 945 Broad Street,
from 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. Cost is S9O
per child, per camp. Evening ses

Friday, June 20, Fort Gordon
will hold its annual regimen
tal retirement ceremony and
parade at 9 a.m. on Barton Field.
In the even of inclement weather,
the ceremony will be in Gym #1
on 19th Ave. Retiring will be Lt.
Gen. Robert E. Gray who twice
served as Commanding General of
Fort Gordon and Chief of Signal
from May 1990 to July 1900 and
August 1991 to July 1994.
Monday, June 16, Fort Gordon
will observe the Army’s 22nd
birthday with a birthday cake
cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. in
Conrad Hall. The ceremony is
open to the public.
