in annual homes
The Builders Association of
Metro Augusta’s 1997 Parade of
Homes opened with much fanfare
as a panel of judges presented
builders and decorators with sev
eral awards.
In Pinebrook at Farmington, the
winners were: Best Exterior—
W.T. Harper Construction; Best
Interior Layout—J.W. Ivey and
Associates, Inc.; and Best of Show
Interior Designer—Vicki Moore.
In Hardy Pointe II: Best Exte
rior—W.R. Price and Associates,
Inc.; Best Interior Layout—Joe
Vaughn; and Best of Show Inte
rior Designer—Deborah Dukes

This year’s Parade of Homes
was held May 9 - 18 and featured
show homes in two of Columbia
Cnunty’sbest neighborhoods. The
Parade of Homes was sponsored
by Wachovia Mortgage and
Blanchard and Calhoun Real Es
tate.
The home showcase is presented
by the Builders Association of
Metro Augusta each year.

donate to

area charities
The Builders Association of
metro Augusta recently donated
proceeds from their two largest
fund-raisers to two local chari
ties. The CSRA Girl Scouts re
ceived $1,510 as part of the pro
ceeds from the Association’s an
nual Home and Garden Show. St.
Joseph Hospice received $2,500
as part of the proceeds from the
Association’s 1997 Parade of
Homes.
“We feel that as a vital part of
the local economy, we should give
back to the community in some
way,” says current Association
president Brent Johnson. “We are
very pleased to help out both of
these very worthwhile organiza
tions, and help them meet their
goals,” he added.
The Builders Association of
Metro Augustais a nonprofit trade
organization designed to support
builders and those affiliated with
the housingindustry. It’s 500-per
son membership hosts two fund
raisers per year, and designates a
local charity to share in the pro
ceeds of each.
