Butler High School’s chorus was recently featured in concert
along with the Georgia Youth Chorale at Carnegie Hall in
New York. Their performance was magnificent.
While in New York, the students had a chance to visit the
famous Apollo Theater and some of the students participated
in a mock Amateur Night. They also visited the Statue of
Liberty, the Empire State Building, and they saw the Broad
way musical, “Miss Saigon.”
The chorus then traveled to Washington, D.C. where they
visited the BET Studio and toured all of Washington’s sights.
These talented students will be performing their annual
Spring Concert on May 19, 1998, at 7 p.m., at the Paine
College Gilbert-Lambuth Chapel.
