Better Business Bureau offers
state of the art reporting system
In its continuing efforts to im
prove access to company reliabil
ity reports, The Better Business
Bureau has announced the instal
lation of an Interactive Voice Re
sponse System (IVR).
Bureau president Jere Bennett
announced the availability of
around-the-clock telephone service
providing information to consum
ers prior to making a buying deci
sion. This equipment will also fax
information, offer instructions on
filing complaints and referral to
other BBBs.
When information is needed
about a company or charity, sim
ply call the IVR system at the Bu

clothesline project in which tee
shirts are hungin remembrance of
victims. The colors of the shirts
have specific meaning: white, for
women who have died due to vio
lence; yellow or beige, for those
who have been battered; red, pink

lavender, for gays who are attacked
because of their sexual preference.
The university’s jazz band will
play from 6:30 through 8 p.m. and
Butler High School’s chorus will
perform. Other activities include
speakers, a mini-theatre produc
tion, and a walk of survivors. The
survivors’ walk will begin at the
Maxwell Theatre and continue to
Washington Hall. Also, a tree at
the site will be decorated with:
