the Rev. McCallister Hollins of
Ben Hill United Methodist
Church in Atlanta.
The Rev. McCallister Hollins is
a native of Newman, Georgia.
Graduating from Central High
Bchool as the valedictorian of his
class, he went on to Tuskeegee
University and received a
Bachelor’s of Science degree in
Business Management in 1971.
He wasnominated to Who'’s Who
in American Colleges and Univer
sities, and while in seminary was
awarded the Crusader Scholar
Award, the Willis J. King Award
in Old Testament Studies, and
the William Lumpkin Memorial
Award. He was selected by the
Clayton County Daily News as
the “Leader Who Makes a Differ
ence in the Southern Crescent” in
1990, and was the religion colum

Rev. Hollins was appointed Se
nior Pastor of the Ben Hill United
Methodist Church in Atlanta in
June of 1993. Ben Hill holds the
reputation of being the fastest
growing African American United
Methodist Churchin Methodism,
and continues to grow under Rev.
