Johnson, Atlanta artist : Ann A. Johnson has been a fixture on the Atlanta arts scene for two decades as an artist, teacher and volunteer leader. As an Atlanta artist, Ann has had solo shows, in addition to the Atlanta international Mu seum, at the Penland School for Arts and Crafts, Callanwolde Fine Arts Center and the American College. Her work has been exhibited locally at the Atlanta Photography Gallery, the Woodruff Arts Center, New Vi sions Gallery and Nexus Contemporary Art Center. As a teacher, Ann has taught aspiring pho tographers at Callanwolde Fine Arts Center, the Penland School of Arts and Crafts in Penland, N.C., and at the Southeastern Cen ter for the Photographic Arts. In 1998 during Georgia History Month, she was honored as one of Georgia’s “Women in the Visual Arts.” Museum information The Atlanta International Museum is lo cated on the Garden and Lobby levels of the Marquis II Tower in Peachtree Center at 285 Peachtree Center Avenue, easily accessible by MARTA bus or train (Peachtree Center stop). Parking available in Baker Street garage. The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is closed on Sundays, Mondays and holidays.
