1913, Dr. T.W. Josey practices medicine
1918 - Dr. T.W. Josey is one of only eight Black physicians
in Augusta. He was born in Augusta to former slaves, and
worked his way through Haines Institute, Atlanta University
and Howard Medical School. He became vice president and
medical director of Pilgrim Health and Life Insurance Co.,
and president of the Stoney Medical Association of Physicians
and Pharmacists. He died in 1956. T.W. Josey Comprehensive
