past 10 years of making loans to
Blacks for businesses, homes,
churches, etc.
Now, however, we'd like to cast
the spotlight on some of the staff
ers of Augusta Focus.
. To begin with, let’s look briefly
at three young persons who have
come on board during the past six
months.

news and feature stories of great
informative and educational value
to Focus readers. Mark is well
informed, very much interested
in what is happening to Black

both are treated equally. But 83
percent of blacks said police are

The Law Journal said the stark
differences between the experi

whites “tracked closely” the find

same issues the Quinnipiac Col

This evidence confirms that in
the environments people of color

criminal justice system.
A Closer Look
In Augusta, Mark is an active
advisor with the NAACP Youth
Council and similar action groups,
and gives leadership at the 107-
year-old Broadway Baptist Church,
where his family holds member
ship. He credits his mother, who
is a schoolteacher, for the many
positive things in his life.

So Augusta Focus general man

dynamic and experienced staffers.
Columnists aboard!
And on another, though similar
front, two other well-trained local
columnists has arrived on staff:
George L. Bailey, writer of Box

Young, writer of the soon-to-be
released Health Perspectives.
Bailey, a Hephzibah High School

and director of the Inner-City Ten

of his column tremendous inside

And later this month, the Focus
will begin featuring the column of
Mrs. Young, who has some 40
years of broad professional expe
inheritance of the next. The Bible
presents the knowledge of the
ancients (the council of God) for
ourlearning. The Holy Scriptures
(Old Testament) lays before us
the blessing and the curse of the
discerned law of God. Doctrines
that teach in any manner to void
or end the law for righteousness
are anti-God and sure destruc
tion. God’s law is the word of God
and wisdom for man. In the cor
rect teaching of Bible, God only
speaks in the Old Testament.
The problem is the people are
following foolish doctrines. “The
