Miss Tyra Chrese Bush and Mr.
Michael Anthony Epps were wed 6
p.m. Saturday, June 19, 1999, at
Sacred Heart Cultural Center.
The Rev. Grady Wicker Jr. offici
ated.
The bride is the daughter of Dr.
and Mrs. Robert B. Bush Jr. and
granddaughter of Mrs. Edna Bush.
ATC offers additional credits for child caregivers'
Aiken Technical College and the
Center for Child Care Career De
velopment recently awarded the
South Carolina ABC Child Care
Credential to a number of area
individuals.
The S.C. ABC Child Care Cre
dential provides recognition for
child care givers. Family daycare
or group home care givers may
earn a 30 hour credential, while
center based care givers may earn
a 60 hour credential.
Receiving the 60 hour creden
tial at the ceremony were Brenda
Blocker, Nannie Blocker, Rosa
Brown, Elaine Jackson, Bertha
Jones, Gloria Key, Brenda Mar
tin,Jean Pelaez, Willie Mae Rouse,
Helen Simpkins, Rosa White and
Brenda Young.
The credentialing system is de
signed toimprove children’slearn
ing by promoting career develop
ment among those who educate
and care for them. It was estab
lished to assist care giversin meet
ingtheir staff qualification require
ments for the S.C Department of
The groom is the son of Mrs.
Eleanor Epps and the late Mr.
Harold Epps Sr. He is the grand
son of Mrs. Virginia Epps.
The bride was given in mar
riage by her father. i
The wedding gown was a full
length, sleeveless, white, satin
dress with a fitted bodice and
straight skirt. It was accented by
pearls and sequins at the top and
on the bottom of the gown. The
front of the gown had a shark
tooth design at the bottom, the
back had an attached, semi-cathe
dral length train. The headpiece
was an oval-shaped, pearl tiara
with a single-length chiffon veil.
Her bouquet consisted of pink and
white roses.
Miss Tujuana C. Bush was her
sister’s maid of honor. Brides
maids were Tracy Green, Jeanine
Lewis, Sabrina Muldrow, Natasha
Parker and Debra Wesley. Tasha
Craig, Ebony Douglas, Akil Inniss
and LaToya Inniss were hostesses.
Little Miss Amber King was the
flower girl.
The bridesmaids wore pink,
