HEAD START SUBSTITUTES
Substitute Teacher
Works directly with the children using variods techniques and
experiences to help each child develop socially, intellectually,
physically and emotionally. Develops and implements group and
individual lesson plans which will meet the individual needs of the
children weekly. Post lesson plans daily. Makes a complete
assessment of each child’g individual needs within 90 days from *
the time the child epters the classroom using the Portage
Assessment Tool. * . ° ‘
Substitute Cook
Works under the supervision of the Nutrition Coordinator.
Duties include preparation of meals and snacks, kitchen mainte
nance, food storage and assisting with menu planning. Must be
able to maintain accurate food service records and count sheets.
Maintains accurate day to day production records and submits a
written monthly report to Nutrition Coordinator. Various other
duties as assigned.
Transport children to and from the Head Start Center. Provide
transportation for parents, meals and supplies as necessary.
Keep daily pick up log and keeps bus clean. Must have high school
diploma and valid Georgia Commercial Drivers License (CDL)
with an excellent driving record. Good knowledge of the commu
nity and the ability to communicate well with pre-school children
hélpful.
Substitute Bus Monitor
High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior experience
working with pre-school children desired. Practices good per
sonal hygiene. Various other duties as assigned. - ' =

Local Census Office Manager - Demonstrated experience
planning, managing operations and maintaining good public
relations with the news media, community leaders, and local
government officials in order to promote community coopera
tion, recruiting, testing and appointing employees, payroll ad
ministration, cost control; reporting progress, terminating per
sonnel; and closing the office. Pay rate: $21.25.
Assistant Manager for Field Operations - Demonstrated
experience supervising or managing large work assignments
and priorities, conducting individual and group training ses
sions; monitoring progress; completing work assignments; ana
lyzing progress of operations using computerized summaries of
operations, and taking corrective action. Pay rate: $16.75.
Assistant Manager for Recruiting - Demonstrated experi
ence supervising or managing recruitment which includes test
ing and selecting applicants, and maintaining public relations
with the news media, local government. Pay rate: $13.50.
Assistant Manager for Administration - Demonstrated ex

Sealed proposals from Contractors will be received for the Addi
tions & Renovations, Joseph Lamar Elementary School, Georgia
Project B-98-030-419 by the County Board of Education of Rich
mond County at the address below until 3:00 p.m. local time,
Tuesday, August 3, 1999, at which time the bids will be publicly
opened and read. Noextension of the bidding period will be made.
A Pre-Bid Conference will be held Tuesday, July 27, 1999 at 3:00
p.m. local time at the Conference Room of the Department of
Architectural Services, Richmond County Board of education,
2025 Lumpkin Road, Augusta, Georgia 30906.
Drawings, specifications, and bidding documents may be ob
tained at the Office of the Architect, John T. Brown, Architect,
3007 Pine Needle Road — Suite 202, Augusta, Georgia 30909.
Applications for documents together with refundable deposit of
$250.00 per set should be filed promptly with the Architect.
Bidding material will be forwarded (shipping charges collect) as
soon as possible. The full amount of deposit for one set will be
refunded to each prime contractor who submits a bona fide bid
upon return of such set in good condition within 10 days after date
of opening bids. All other deposits will be refunded with deduc
tions approximating cost of reproduction of documents upon
return of same in good condition within 10 days after date of
opening bid.
Any bid submitted will be subject to the conditions and timeline
specified in the documents. “
