Local Census Office Manager - Demonstrated experience
planning, managing operations and maintaining good public
relations with the news media, community leaders, and local
government officials in order to promote community coopera
tion, recruiting, testing and appointing employees, payroll ad
ministration, cost control; reporting progress, terminating per
sonnel;and closing the.office.. Pay rate: $21.26: .
Assistant Manager for Field Operations - Demonstrated
experience supervising or managing large work assignments
and priorities, conducting individual and group training ses
sions; monitoring progress; completing work assignments; ana
lyzing progress of operations using computerized summaries of
operations, and taking corrective action. Pay rate: $16.75.
Assistant Manager for Recruiting - Demonstrated experi
ence supervising or managing recruitment which includes test
ing and selecting applicants, and maintaining public relations
with the news media, local government. Pay rate: $13.50.
Assistant Manager for Administration - Demonstrated ex
perience supervising or managing administrative activities such
as personnel, payroll, supply and material requisitioning, and
financial expenditures. Pay rate: $13.50.
LocaL Census OFFICE AUTOMATION TECHNICIAN
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Automation Technician - Demonstrated experience perform
ing troubleshooting duties by identifying software problems in a
Windows 95 environment, solving the problems or communicat
ing the problems to an off-site center for resolution. This
includes experience or education which has provided a working
knowledge of Windows 95, PC operating systems technical
terms, software such as database, spreadsheet, and word pro
cessing packages, and inter-office local area networking. Pay
rate: $12.50.

Teacher Assistant
Must have High School diploma with vocational training in Early
Childhood Education plus three years experience working with pre
'school children. CDA Certificates will be required within first year.
BUS DRIVER :
Must have High School diploma, at least 2 years training/experi
ence in school bus driving and basic maintenance. Must have valid
Georgia Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with an excellent
driving record. Good knowledge of the community and the ability
to communicate well with pre-school children is helpful.
BUS MONITOR
High School diploma or equivalent required. Prior experience
working with pre-school desired. Practices good personal hygiene.
TEACHER
Works directly with the children using various techniques and
experiences to help each child develop socially, intellectually,
physically and emotionally. Develops and implements group and
individual lesson plans which will meet the individual needs of the
children weekly.
Must have AA degreein Early Childhood Education and three years
experience.
JANITOR
Applicants must have prior work experience in cleaning school
buildings and keeping them in good repair: Performing minor
painting, plumbing and carpentry tasks.

Sealed Bids will be received at the J. Madden Reid Building, 1425
Walton Way, Augusta, Georgia 30901 until 3:00 PM (docal time)
Wednesday, July 28, 1999, for the Sale of Steel Surplus Encase
ment Windows. Most windows have locks and screens. There are
approximately Four hundred (400) windows; windows areof vary
ing sizes and will be sold as is, where is, with no warranty implied.
A minimum bid of SIO.OO for each window will be accepted.
The successful bidder will be responsible for the safe removal of all
windows. Prior to start of contract the successful bidder will have
to provide proof of the following minimum insurance:
a. General Liability $500,000 limit
b. Automobile Liability $500,000 limit
¢. Workers Compensation (Per Georgia State Law)
Removal of all windows in Lot #l, Bid #4-99 from property of the
Housing Authority of the City of Augusta will be complete,
including any repairs to property within TEN (10) working days
from date of the Notice to Proceed, the time period includes the
date of the notice to proceed and the day of completion.
Interested persons may request to view and inspect the Windows
in Lot #1- Bid # 4-99 by contacting the Pun:huing:“gnt, William
E. Carpenter (706) 724-8730 ext. 34 between the hours of 9:00 AM
and 3:00 PM (local time) Monday through Friday. Ms. Carpenter
has asample for review in his office or he can arrange for the bidder
to see the entire Lot upon request.
The Housing Authority of the City of Augusta, Georgia rescrves
