care for pa
tients with spinal cord injuries is
very important. Brown developed
a special mixture of bath oil and
body lotion that is applied daily to
all of the patients on the SCIU. The
use of this mixture has promoted
healthier skin for patients on her
unit. Brown’s patientsreceive head
to-toe total hygienic care and sheis
legendary in the way she pampers
each of them. Her supervisor wrote
that Brown “provides exemplary
nursing care every day.” During
her time away from the hospital,
she assists several elderly people
in her neighborhood by doing their
yard, often doing their grocery shop
ping and driving them to their ap
pointments. She is also very active
inthe Everfaithful Missionary Bap
tist Church.
