ter celebrated national Nurses
Week, May 6-12, 2000 by recog
nizing the compassionate and su
perb care provided by its nursing
staff. Ellen DeGeorge-Smith, Di

Glen joins Walton Rehab staff
Tannahill Glen, Psy.D., has
Jjoined Walton Rehabilitation Hos
pital as clinical director of Neu
ropsychology & Neuro Rehab. Dr.
Glen will be directing cognitive
behavioral problems for brain-in
jured patients at Walton Reha
bilitation Hospital’s Brain Injury
Center of Excellence. She will
also be overseeing Walton’s tran
sitional living program for pa
tients who have sustained brain
injuries, which is located at their
Walton West Facility.
Dr. Glen earned her psychology
degree from the Georgia School of
Health Information
Administration
program approved
at Medical College
A post-baccalaureate certificate
program in health information
administration has been created
at the Medical College of Georgia.
Enrollment for the program, de
signed for health care profession
als licensed in their respective
fields, will be open for the 2000
fall semester.
According to Dr. Carol
Campbell, chairman of the De
partment of Health Information
Management, the health infor
mation administration certificate
will position health care profes
sionals who possess clinical skills
to assume important new roles in
health care facilities.
Completion of the 11-month
program will qualify students for
the American Health Information
Management Association’s regis
.ration examination and, upon
successful completion ofthe exam,
Registered Health Information
Administrator credentials.
