Religious Emphasis Week

Thursday, March 12-15, 2001.
Rev. Kelvin Sauls, pastor of
Downs Memorial United
Methodist Church in Oakland,
Calif., will be the keynote
speaker during Paine College’s
assembly program on Wednes
day, March 14, at 11 a.m. in
the Gilbert-Lambuth Memo
rial Chapel. Rev. Sauls will
also deliver the Community
Lenten sermon on Wednes
dayat 7:30 p.m. in the Gilbert-
Lambuth Memorial Chapel.
Other activities scheduled
for the week will be a musical
workshop that will feature
Paine College students, the
Paine College Concert Choir,
and Rev. Sauls on Tuesday,
March 13, at 6 p.m. in Paine
College’s Chapel. Culminat
ing the week will be a series of
seminars on Thursday, March
15, in the Paine College
Odeum. Session one will be
gin at 9:30 a.m. and session
two will begin at 2 p.m. The
events are free and the public
