BET.com poll reflects 44.8 approval rating for President Bush

results of several recent sur
veys that examine the Afri
can-American community’s
reactions and thoughts to the
recent terrorist attacks on
America.
The ongoing polls, which
have been conducted by

office.
“Small Business Success
School — Starting Your Own
Business”will be held Novem
ber 6,2001. “Small Business
Bookkeeping” will be offered
November 8. “Smart Market
ing” will be held November
15. All courses will be held
6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Attend the
three class series for a dis

a certificate upon completion
or attend one class for $35.

wine sampling
class
The Augusta State Univer
sity Continuing Education is
now offering “Classic Wines
From Classic Grape Variet
ies,” a wine sampling course
thatis grape fun! This course
will concentrate on the classic
grape varieties made famous
in France and copied in many
other wine regions of the
world. The process of wine
making, from vine to bottle,
will be briefly explored. The
classic white grapes to be dis
cussed and sampled first
evening are: Chardonnay,
Sauvignon Blane, Riesling,
Chenin Blanc and
Gewurzuaminer. The second
night will concentrate on red
wines: Cabernet Sauvignon,
Merlot, Pinot Noir, Syrah and
Grenache. Some suggestions
and examples of appropriate
or complimentary food will be
served with the white and red
wines. The wine instructor,
Richard Hatcher of
Summerville Ace, has been a
frequentjudge at the Atlantic
Wine Festival and is a mem
ber of Les Amis du Van. You
must be 21 years of age or
older to enroll.
Classes will be held Tues
days, Novembersand 12,at 7
to 9 p.m. at the Radisson
Suites on Washington Road.
