Heart health focus of Augusta women’s health fair
An upcoming health fair for
women in the Augusta area
will focus on cardiovascular
disease, the leading cause of
death among women in Geor
gia and the nation. The Feb
ruary 9, 2002 event will be
hosted by the Georgia Depart
ment of Community Health
(DCH) Office of Women’s
Health, in collaboration with
the Georgia Commission on
Women, Doctor’s Hospital,
MCG Health Care, St. Joseph
Hospital, University Health
Care System, and Saturn of’
Augusta.
Cardiovascular disease
Power wheelchairs available
Miracle on Wheels makes
available power (electric)
wheelchairs to non-ambula
tory senior citizens 65 years
old and up, usually at no out
of-pocket expense if they
qualify. No deposit required.

provided to those who cannot
walk and who cannot self-pro
pel a manual wheelchair in
their home or independent
Aquacise for your health
The Augusta State Univer
sity Continuing Education will
offer Aquacise classes from
