Tabernacle hosts Fourth Annual Women’s Conference
Tabernacle Baptist Church
will host its Fourth Annual
Women’s Conference Friday
and Saturday, March 8 and 9,
2002, at Savannah Lakes in
McCormick, S.C.
Friday events will begin with
registration and planning at 2
-3 p.m. There will be pamper
ing and beautifying, planning,
worship service, dinner and a
fashion show.
For March 9, registration
will begin at 9 a.m. Keynote
speaker for the day will be
Rev. Lisa D. Rhodes, newly
appointed dean of Sisters Col
lege. She began her tenure at
Spelman College after serving
as assistant pastor at the his
toric Ebenezer Baptist Church
in Atlanta, Ga. where she was
both licensed to preach and
ordain. Since 1994, Rev.
Rhodes gave pastoral leader
ship to a number of minis
tries, including Christian edu
cation, membership nurture
and care and sister-to-sister
collaborative activitiesinvolv
ing local churches, the Ameri
can Baptist Women and
Women in the Progressive
National Baptist Convention.
