C-SPAN will explore Ameri
can history through the lives
and works of selected 20" cen
tury American writers who
have influenced the course of
our nation.

Every program will feature
selected writers’ novels,
speeches, diaries, essays and
life stories, creating a snap
shot of American history. Each
