performs benefit concert for Paine College

Amos Y. Johnson Jr. was a
presenter at the 2001 IEEE
Computer Society Conference
on Computer Vision and Pat
tern Recognition in Kauali,
Hawaii recently. The title of
Johnson’s paper presentation
was “Gait Recognition Using
Static, Activity-Specific Pa
rameters” which dealt with a
gait recognition technique
that recovers static body and
stride parameters of subjects

The Augusta Museum of
History will present the film
The Story of Golf during the
month of April. The film is
a 118-minute public televi
sion documentary narrated
by Jim McKay. The story
works its way through a
framework of milestone
events in the game of golf.
