the odds if you invest

Along with voicing concerns
over the breakdown of taxpay

confuses county commissioners
have in the overall decision
the operation of the facility.
“If the governing body is to

five people have been picked
going in, then my James
Brown Boulevard mathemat
ics tells me that that three will
constitute a 2 majority going in
— thats Mr. Lawrence, Mr.
Morris and the representative
from ScheerGame. So if that's
your board of directors and its
pre-determined going in, then
we do not have a voice in the
determination of how propet
ty's set up or how anythings
done,” he said.
Although Simon was able to
appease Mays somewhat by

The new court approved map
carves out districts with less
than one percent deviation.
Baker argues in a court docu
ment “...that only deviations
over 10 percent need be ‘based
on legitimate considerations
.... when adopted by a legisla
wre.” Baker went on to state
that according to case law, the
court must show that the dis
tricts drawn by the legislature
with five percent more or less
population deviation is dis
criminatory, an aspect Baker
contends was “ignored and
which the evidence ... com
pletely lacks.”
Democrats support Baker’s
move to have the lines revisit

“If the court is saying you
