The Union was the
product of a sermon that
Rev. J.L. Little preached
at the Innity CM.E.
Usher board in 1946. It
was then suggested that a
Union be in place for
Ushers and Usherettes to
Bave ‘“the aspirit that
would exist between
churches.” In a short
period of time, the
Union was formed with
Deacon Garfield Smith
serving as its president
until 1952. Now, Sister
Leila Lewis is the presi
dent and thanks to her
leadership the Union has
had many fundraisers
and award banquets. The
Union also participates
