Austin Must Go!
Area ministers, leaders and the community call for a halt to Austin Rhodes antics
Local leaders say the
protest against WGAC
radio rtalk-show host
Austin Rhodes will not
stop. From the look of
things, they are deliver
ing their disapproval in
person, by taking their
complaints to the radio
station. ‘
“Let’s stop the mad
ness, the disrespect and
make our city what is
should be,” said Rev
erend K.B. Martin. He
continued by saying,
“We're call for the boy

Atlanta(AP) — A student
from the CSRA was one
of the first two people
killed Monday in the
shooting rampage at Vir
ginia Tech, authorities,
said.
Ryan Clark, 22, of Mar
tinez in Columbia Coun
ty, was a resident advisor
at West Ambler Johnston
dorm, where the first
shooting was reported
about 7:15 a.m.
Clark apparently rushed
over to see what was
going on when he came
upon the gunman, a stu
dent who lives on the
fourth floor of the dormi
tory told the New York
Times.
Clarks family learned of
his death from the
Columbia County coro
ner. The coroner, Vernon
Collins, said campus
police informed him
Monday afternoon that
Clark was in the dorm
when he was killed, but
Collins didn't know how
he died.

Abdul-Salaam said she
now plans to talk with state
Republican leaders, includ

due to issue an executive
order for King's portrait to
be hung in the Capitol.
Perdue spokesman Dan
McLagan said Abdul-

request to the commission.
“The governor does not

Abdul-Salaam said that
she has been stymied in a

honored her on April 27
has not advanced. |
“I'm saddened,” Abdul-
