that they may have life, and have

In this familiar Scripture lies
the answer to mmnic of
obesity in our today. As
I meditated on it, the part
where the “thief comes only to

leaped in my spirit. | said,
“Lord, what arc?:x trying to
reveal to me?” And when |
shared it with another sister,
she told me how it blessed her
and 1 should write about it.

put our weight on the Lord,
He will give us the discipline
we need to take care ofPHis
temple.
'l'Ec Bible declares that we
are “made in the image of the
Lord” (Genesis 1:26) and our
“bodies are the temple of The
Holy Spirit who lives in you
and who was given to you by
God.” (I Connthians 6:19).
While many have the heart
and desire to lose weight, they
cannot and are not successful.
It is a spiritual battle going on
AUGUSTA FOCUS
and this is the reason we must
gut our weight on the Lord.
"he thief is trying to kill you
through overeating, You may
not commit the sin of drug or
alcohol abuse where one
get alcoholic liver disease ::\y
as cirrhosis, which may lead to
death. You may not commit
sexual unmomr sins such as
fornication, adultery, or homo
sexuality, which may lead to
sexual transmitted diseases and
in some cases, even death.
The Bible declares that glut
tony (overeating) is a sin. God’s
enemy and our adversary,
Satan will stop at nothing to
destroy that which God has
said is good. Paul says in
Romans 7:15, “I do not under
stand what I de. For what I
want to do Ido not do, but
what [ hate I do.” Many people
are caught in this trap and trick
of the thief. You desire to lose
weight; you want to lose
wei%ht; you know what to do
to lose the weight, yet no
weight loss.
