Bid documents may be examined at the office of the Augusta, GA Procurement Department,
530 Greene Street — Room 605, Augusta, GA 30911. Plans and spedifications for the proj
ect can be made available upon request to Digital Blue Print. The fees for the plans and
specifications which are non-refundable is $25.00
Documents may also be examined during regular business hours at the Augusta Builders
Exchange, 1262 Merry Street, Augusta, GA 30904; EW. Dodge Plan Room, 1281 Broad
Street, Augusta, GA 30901. It is the wish of the Owner that all businesses are given the oppor
tunity to submit on this project. To fadilitate this policy, the Owner is providing the oppor
tunity to view plans online (www.digblue.com) at no charge through Digital Blueprint (706-
821-0405) beginning Tuesday, July 17, 2007. Bidders are cautioned that submitting a pack
age without Procurement of a complete set are likely to overdook issues of construction phas
ing, delivery of goods or services, or coordination with other work that is material to the suc
cessful completion of the project. Bidders are cautioned that sequestration of documents
through any other source is not advisable. Aoquisition of documents from unauthorized
sources places the bidder ar the risk of receiving incomplete or inaccurate information upon
which to base his qualifications.
Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Friday, July 27, 2007 @ 10:00 a.m. in
Room 605 of the Procurement Department. There will be 2 mandatory site visit follow
ing the meeting. All questions must be submitted in writing to the office of the
Procurement Department by fax at 706-821-2811 or by mail. No bid will be accepted b
fax, all must be received by mail or hand delivered. All questions should be submitted in
iting by 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 27, 2007.
No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after time has been called on the date of]
opening, A 10% Bid bond is required to be submitted in a separate envelope so markec
along with the bidders’ qualifications; a 100% performance bond and a 100% payment
bond will be required for award.
Bidders will please note that the number of copies requested; all supporting documents indud
ing financial statements and references and such other attachments that may be required b
the bid are material conditions of the package. Any package found incomplete or submitted
late shall be rejected by the Procurement Office. Any bidder allegedly contending that he/she

AUGUSTA FOCUS
Finance Manager
The Finance Manager will be responsible for the development, implemen
tation, and maintenance of all facility financial transactions to include pay
roll. Prepare periodic reports to include budgets and monthly reports.
Analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals,
accounting procedures and government regulations.
B.S degree in accounting or business administration from an accredited col
lege or university is required. Must have a minimum of five years of pro
gressively responsible experience in finance or the equivalent combination
of education and experience. A CPA license is preferred.
The Human Resource Manager will be responsible for the analysis and
maintenance of all Personal records. Interviewing, hiring, and overseeing
of the orientation of all employees. Coordinate all programs in accordance
with the Department of Labor guidelines. Maintain all benefit programs
and ensure the adherence to all policy and procedures of the facility.
Research and prepare comprehensive reports, draft letters and preparation
of all Human Resource paperwork.
Associate degree n Human Resource Management from an accredited col
lege or university. Must have a minimum of two years of progressive expe
rience in management or human resources or the equivalent combination
of education and experience.
Dj or of Operations & Engineering
The Director of Operations and Engineering must have working knowledge
of engineering and event services and develops, institutes, supervises the
activities of all permanent and temporary custodial, production and event
setup, engineering and technical maintenance personnel in the complex,
and is responsible for building and grounds. The Director serves as an
accountable agent of the facility, responsible to the General Manager and
the governing body for each and every action of his subordinates and for
the accountability of all funds and materials in his trust.
Desirable Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited high school, with pessible college study in
industrial operations and personnel management. Minimum of five years as
principal or assistamt to principal supervisor of custodial, technical and pro
duction setup division of a major facility can be substituted in lieu of the
previously suggested college work. The Director of Operations and
